Planned activities include participant check-in with local RCES and send a Red Cross Shelter Report using Winlink. Individual ARES units may schedule additional activities.

Details on the SEPA Red Cross Net from SEPA DST Regional Lead and Philadelphia County ARES EC, Cliff Hotchkiss, KC3PGT

SEPA Red Cross will be activating nets as part of the Spring SET on Saturday from 1000 to 1200.

Net Channels

We will be on two repeaters:

  1. WB3JOE 147.060 + pl 131.8
  2. N3KZ (Bucktown) 147.270 + pl 77

We hope you will have your teams check in.  Participants do NOT need to be Red Cross volunteers.  The idea is to encourage communication between ARES and the Red Cross.

Further instructions on the SET will be forthcoming soon from W2AFE (see above), but I wanted to let you all know what we were planning.

So please plan to join the Red Cross Net on between 10:00 and 12:00 hours.

When checking into the net, you will be asked for Call Sign, Your Name, Location (Delaware County), Base or Deployed, and affiliation (ARES, also ARC or others as well).

Channel 32 on the Go Kits is WB3JOE in Newtown Square, which has excellent coverage in Delaware County
